Today, on January 15, 2020, Epic Games released the patch notes for the new Forntite-update 11.40. We show you the changes and new content.
What’s included in the new update 11.40: The update brings some changes to the game, such as the Heavy Assault Rifle, which has come out of the vault.
The Heavy Assault Rifle returns
Which item is returning? The Heavy Assault Rifle has been taken out of the vault and is now available in the game again.
In modes outside of competitive formats, you can now upgrade your Assault Rifle to a Heavy Assault Rifle at the upgrade bench.
This means that you won’t find the Heavy Assault Rifle in chests as usual, but you can upgrade your standard Assault Rifle at the Weapon Upgrade Bench.
New items in Creative
What’s new? 3 items have been added to Creative:
- Stone Pistol (Common and Uncommon)
- Shockwave Grenade
- Impulse Grenade
You can now use these items in Creative to customize your island even better and create your own modes.
Bug Fixes
What bugs were fixed? With update 11.40, several bugs in the game have also been fixed, such as:
- A bug was fixed where the challenge “Visit different bus stops during a match” counted some bus stops incorrectly from Recovery / Toxin.
- A bug was fixed where players remained in edit mode due to rapid editing.
- A bug was fixed where console players could not proceed with the gifting process if they had not enabled two-factor authentication.

What’s new in Save the World
Discounts on Save the World: Founder Packs for Save the World are half price until January 17.
Additionally, the Founder Pack upgrades are back! In the game’s shop, you can purchase the upgrade to the Super Deluxe Founder Pack or the limited Founder Pack.
If you want to buy a Founder Pack for Save the World, you should do it now.
New quest line “Special Customization”: Something is wrong with the toys our Homebase heroes have been given!
Help the Homebase to quell the uprising of these special toys, unlocking the new toy explorer “Jilly Teacup”.
The Ice Queen returns: The hero Ice Queen returns to Save the World.
She increases damage to frozen enemies by 14%.
New Sniper Rifle “Ice Bite”: A rifle for medium to long distances that deals high damage when fired rapidly.
Ensure during this weekly challenge: Special Delivery that the burner does not go out to unlock the sniper rifle “Ice Bite”.
