In Fortnite the new update 10.20 from September 3rd is here. We show you in the German patch notes what has changed in the game.
What does the update bring? With the new patch, the Zapper Trap comes into the game. A trap that can be positioned on both sides of an area.
Additionally, the floating island and the motel are back in the game.
The Zapper Trap in Fortnite – Stats
What is known about the Zapper Trap? The trap is a throwable consumable that takes up one slot in the inventory. After impact, a trap is placed on both sides of the building section, causing damage.
The special thing: If you throw the trap on a free terrain area, the trap automatically builds a wall and positions itself on both sides.
The stats:
- Enemy players are shocked within a tile
- It deals 50 damage
- There is a delay of 0.5 seconds after activation
- After activation, the traps take 2 seconds to recharge
The trap is epic and can be found on the ground, in chests, in vending machines, llamas, and supply drops.
You find the Zapper Trap in stacks of two and can carry a maximum of 4.
The Floating Island – New Rift Zone
What kind of zone is this? As a new location, the floating island returned to Fortnite. It is not fixed in one place but slowly moves across the map. The motel is located on it.
With a vortex, you can reach the island. It is not connected to the land.
That this island would return had also been suspected by data miners.
Bug Fixes
In the Battle Royale mode, the following bugs have been fixed in recent days:
- The overheating sound effect of the minigun was removed because there was a bug
- Turbo building has been adjusted
- Location names are displayed correctly on the map again
- The mech’s air stomp should now work correctly
Furthermore, the developers have fixed the following bugs in the Creative Mode:
- Driverless vehicles can trigger damage traps again
- The large shadow in flight mode has disappeared
- Portals for pre-made islands should no longer ignore device settings
- The music sequencer is now played client-side and server-side
- Vehicles no longer spawn during the warm-up but at the game start
Changes in Save the World
Weekly Task: This week you should help the Overlord to reach the radio station.
New in the Shop: A new weapon that provides music is now available in the weekly shop. It is the “Intense Mix Pistol.” It is supposed to awaken the dance fever in the skins.
The weapon is a pistol with a speaker and Walkman. With the push of a button, you probably start the cassette and play music.
