Marvel supervillain Thanos has become even more famous thanks to Fortnite (PC, PS4, iOS & Xbox One) and the new mashup game mode “Infinity Gauntlet.” Thanks to various super silly emotes, however, he can no longer be taken seriously.
Here’s what it’s about: Since May 8, 2018, there has been a new, limited-time game mode Infinity Gauntlet in Fortnite. In it, you find more loot, have a faster storm, and one player can transform into Thanos from the movie Avengers: Infinity War.
To do this, he just needs to find the gauntlet with the Infinity Stones, then he can unleash untold horrors on the other players as a purple titan.

Thanos is actually pretty dangerous…
In the new Avengers film, Thanos is a magnificent villain who is present throughout the film and doesn’t need to fear the Avengers or other Marvel heroes. He is one of the most threatening villains seen on screen.
An extremely tough opponent: In the game, Thanos is just as threatening. When he approaches with heavy steps, fortresses crumble and players burst like soap bubbles under his blows or in the light of his death ray. Without much luck, you can usually only defeat Thanos if you face him together.
Thanos’ worst enemy: The Dancing Bomb Boogie-Bomb!
Often, you encounter Thanos when you are barely prepared. Then you often have only a few seconds to poke Thanos with ineffective needle pricks before he zaps you.
Here’s how the Dancing Bomb works: Therefore, players often throw everything they have in their inventory at the titan in their panic. This includes the Boogie-Bomb, a pretty silly grenade that makes all victims in the radius dance for a few seconds.
The secret weapon against Thanos: In the regular game, the bomb is rarely used, but it is highly effective against Thanos. Because even a titan is powerless against the laws of disco dancing, and Thanos shows off his moves just like everyone else.
Some players were able to deal so much damage to the defenseless dancing titan that they were able to take him down!
The Dancing Thanos
The forced dance from the Boogie-Bomb is not the only method to make Thanos dance. The titan is actually a fully animated character with which you can perform all unlocked Fortnite emotes. This makes for absurdly silly actions.
The funniest Thanos dances: Players have created dance videos in which Thanos has a lot of fun and loses some of his threatening presence.
Thanos has a heart for dancers: Dancing seems to be the villain’s secret passion, as there are numerous videos where Thanos spontaneously joins a dance event and spares the dancers.
Only a humorless tryhard (definitely a John Wick) who shoots into the dancing crowd will be punished by Thanos with a death ray. After that, the dance party continues.
Thanos as Bush or Bear
If anyone still respects Thanos after all the dances and emotes, they will surely lose all respect once they see the following videos. Because if you wear a bush for camouflage, it probably remains even when you become Thanos due to a bug.
Then you have a purple titan barely hidden by foliage, smashing everything to bits.
The Revenge of the Cuddly Bear! It gets even sillier when a bug strikes that gives you Thanos’ powers but not his appearance. And the height of absurdity is reached when this happens while you are wearing the cuddly bear costume from Valentine’s Day!
