The drama surrounding the Fortnite player and Twitch star Turner “Tfue” Tenney takes a turn like a sports movie. The stress with his clan FaZe is driving him closer to his duo partner Dennis “Cloak” Lepore, who is also in the FaZe clan.
This is the duo: Tfue and Cloak are considered a well-coordinated duo in Fortnite. Together, they won the “Fall Skirmish” in October 2018, a major tournament with a prize pool of $510,000.
Now this weekend, the two will try again to qualify for the Fortnite World Championship: a hot tournament with only 50 duos allowed worldwide.
Because Tfue is such a popular streamer on Twitch, he and Cloak have played together for so long and have won a lot, the two are considered one of the best-known Fortnite duos in the world.

Here’s why the partnership was in danger: Both are in the clan “FaZe”, but Tfue has announced that he will leave the clan. He even filed a lawsuit against FaZe, citing serious complaints:
- His contract would be exploitative and illegal
- FaZe had encouraged him to drink, gamble, and engage in dangerous stunts
- they also hired a minor as a Fortnite pro and lied about his age
It would have been conceivable that the partnership with Cloak could fall apart due to these accusations.

Banks says: Cloak didn’t think much of Tfue at first
This could have caused personal stress: Additionally, one of the clan leaders, FaZe Banks, added fuel to the fire.
In a video, FaZe Banks explained that he had to persuade Cloak to consider Tfue. At that time, 72hrs had left FaZe and Banks was looking for a replacement, as he said.
But Cloak, the captain of the Fortnite team at that time, was not at all convinced by Tfue.
Cloak reportedly said: “I know who he is. We’re not interested. He knows how to get kills, but he has no idea how to build. We don’t want to play with Tfue.”

However, he then gave him a chance after Banks pushed him, and it clicked right away. The two became a dream team.
His relationship with Tfue, however, is rock solid and is even getting stronger. Tfue will now move in with him after leaving the clan.
Cloak says he feels a bit sorry for Tfue and his girlfriend, Corinna Kopf, that they have to move from sunny Los Angeles to rainy New Jersey. But hey, at least he’ll have 0 ping. Because nearby, in New York, there’s an internet hub.
Somehow like in a Hollywood sports film, where friends stand closer together when things get tough. Even though Tfue now has to leave Hollywood, where he previously lived and streamed in the FaZe clan’s gaming house.
Now it will be exciting to see if the advantage with the “0 ping” is enough for them to qualify for the Fortnite World Cup in duos, a tournament for millions of US dollars.
Tfue has already qualified for the Solo World Cup:
This story could have caused suspicion in the partnership between Cloak and Tfue. But the opposite seems to be the case.
Tfue and Cloak remain a duo, moving in together
Will they stay together? On May 20, Cloak sent signals that he would continue the partnership with Tfue. Cloak says he had known Tfue from H1Z1 and PUBG. He considered Tfue to be an incredibly good solo player who can’t play with others.
He was mistaken.
On May 20, Cloak still claimed he wanted to keep playing with Tfue and that FaZe was a super clan with super people.
About a week later, Cloak gave another statement on the stream. He was more skeptical about his own future with FaZe, saying he wanted to talk to the clan and find out what’s next for him.
