What’s going on today in Fortnite? As in every week, there will be a new update in Fortnite. However, something is different this time. Normally, smaller updates are purely content updates without maintenance. This week is different. The reason for this is not known.
The assumption at least is that Epic wants to fix some problems in the game that have occurred since the last update. The big battle robot is still causing issues.
Update 12:10 PM: The patch 10.31 is now here and can be played by you. Some bugs have been fixed and the zip-lines are returning. We show you in the patch notes what is changing.
Fortnite servers are going down – when and for how long?
Downtime starts in the morning: At 9:30 AM German time, you can join a new lobby for the last time. At 10 AM, the servers will no longer be accessible and Fortnite will be down.
How long will the maintenance take? Since this is a content patch, the maintenance duration should remain manageable. We expect that you will be able to rejoin by lunchtime at the latest.
Technical issues may delay the maintenance work. If this is the case, you will of course find out here.
When will the patch notes be released? What is changing in the update will be revealed to us later this time. Fortnite has announced that they will publish the patch notes only after the downtime. But you will find them right here on MeinMMO.
What new content does update 10.31 bring?
What new things will there be in Battle Royale mode? The information situation is also extremely thin this week. Epic announced the update with the words “It’s time to mobilize”. In the forums, some players are already sarcastically talking about making the robots even faster.
Presumably, either the jetpacks are returning or a new item that makes players faster (the hop rocks for example?). We will learn more precisely only with the patch notes. An event for the planned raid on Area 51 is also possible, as appropriate skins have already been leaked.
What does the update bring for the Save the World mode? PvE players have been complaining for a long time about a lack of content in Save the World. The current patch will likely change little in that regard. Players can only hope for a new rocket launcher.
