Today, on Wednesday, November 20th, the Fortnite servers will be shut down on all platforms (PC/Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS, Android) to deploy a new update. But what can players expect from the update?
What is happening today in Fortnite? A new update will be deployed in Fortnite today, which is expected to bring some changes and new content. Fortnite Status announced update 11.20 on Twitter.
Before players can embark on their exploration journey, the servers will be shut down as usual.

Fortnite servers will be shut down – when and for how long?
Downtime start in the morning: At 9:30 AM German time you may join a new lobby for the last time. By 10 AM, the servers will no longer be accessible and Fortnite will be down.
How long will the maintenance last? Based on experiences from the past weeks and months, the work should be completed around lunchtime.
Technical issues or other delays may extend the maintenance work. If this is the case, you will find out here.
When will the patch notes be available? Epic has been rather quiet since the start of the new chapter in Fortnite and has published no patch notes. Players are not thrilled about this and started a petition to bring back the patch notes.

What new content does the update 11.20 bring?
What new features will there be in Battle Royale mode? Fortnite Status did not give any hints in the tweet about what the update could bring. However, these changes might come:
- A graphics improvement through DX12
- The return of the Bandage Bazooka
Unfortunately, what else the update might bring for Battle Royale mode is still unknown.
What will the update bring for Save the World mode? There are expected to be several changes and new content for Save the World. Following things will be added after update 11.20:
- The battle against the Storm King
- New mythic Storm King weapons
- Gameplay changes (from community feedback)
- Finished Storage Usage
