Today, on June 12th, Fortnite will be taken offline on all platforms (PC/Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS, Android) to apply a new patch. How long will the maintenance take and when can you get back to playing? MeinMMO has all the information!
What’s happening in Fortnite today: As in every week, Fortnite will be taken offline for a few hours today to implement new content. This means for you: mandatory break!

Fortnite is down – When will it start and how long will it last?
When does the server maintenance start? At 9:30 AM German time, you will have the last chance to join a new game; after that, the lobbies will be closed.
Fortnite will be finally down at 10:00 AM German time. The maintenance will then begin.
How long will the downtime last? Based on experiences from the last weeks and months, you should be able to log back in by noon at the latest.
To make sure you don’t get bored in the meantime, you can read the patch notes on MeinMMO that will be published shortly after the maintenance begins. We will also inform you here if the maintenance is extended due to technical problems.

What does the update bring for the Battle Royale mode? A new weapon is coming, that is certain. However, the announcement of a new grenade launcher has not brought excitement among players so far. We are curious to see how the weapon performs in practice!
Leaks have also already shown that a new mode with toy soldiers and a new shotgun may be coming. And then there is also the floating monster, which is likely a harbinger of a new event!
Besides that, there will also be bug fixes and minor improvements as there are every week.
