What is happening today in Fortnite? As every week, there will be a new update for Fortnite. Two major gameplay changes are expected. Fortnite announced the update 10.40 with the words: “Reach for the stars”. A hint towards the rocket event at the end of Season 10?
Before players can go on an exploration tour, as in almost every week, the servers will be shut down.

Fortnite servers will be shut down – when and how long?
Downtime starts in the morning: At 9:30 AM local time you may join a new lobby for the last time. At 10:00 AM, the servers will no longer be accessible and Fortnite will be down.
How long will the maintenance take? Based on experiences from the past weeks and months, the work should be completed around midday.
Technical problems or other delays may extend the maintenance work. Should this be the case, you will be informed here.

What new content does update 10.40 bring?
What new things will there be in Battle Royale mode? This time, Fortnite has already indicated two changes that will come with update 10.40. A skill-based matchmaking is to be introduced. The controller settings will be expanded and will allow players detailed customization of their settings.
