Today, on Wednesday, October 2, the Fortnite servers will be shut down on all platforms (PC/Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS, Android). A new update will be applied. How long will the maintenance take and what does the patch bring? MeinMMO has the answers!
What is happening today in Fortnite? As in every week, there will be a new update for Fortnite. Epic Games announced the update on Twitter, but they gave no hints about what we can expect.
Before players can set out on a discovery tour, the servers will be shut down as they are nearly every week.

Fortnite servers will be shut down – when and for how long?
Downtime starts in the morning: At 9:30 AM German time, you can join a new lobby for the last time. At 10 AM, the servers will no longer be accessible and Fortnite will be down.
How long will the maintenance take? Based on the experiences of the last weeks and months, the work should be completed around noon.
Technical problems or other delays could prolong the maintenance. If that happens, you will of course find out here.

What new content does update 10.41 bring?
What new features will there be in Battle Royale mode? Epic Games has given no hints about what we can expect from this update.
Changes to the map are conceivable, such as the rocket building that is continuously evolving. Players also hope for a countdown in the game that officially announces the live event. There will likely be a few bug fixes. Some players had issues starting the combine mode. This will probably be fixed in this patch.
What does the update bring for Save the World mode? PvE players have been complaining for some time about content drought in Save the World. Today’s update will likely change little about that. Only a new weapon and a new storyline can be hoped for by the players.
