The new update 6.0 brings today on Thursday, September 27, the new Season 6. The servers of Fortnite: Battle Royale will be offline on all platforms (PC/Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS, Android). Maintenance will bring a new patch. When will the servers be offline and when will Fortnite be playable again?
Finally, Season 6 is starting: Even though the end of Season 5 was not quite as exciting as the previous season, the hype is unbroken. Today we will probably find out how it continues with the jelly, which once was Loot Lake.

Epic has already announced the new Season 6 with some teasers that you can watch again:
Comparing the teasers of the last seasons with the current ones, it is noticeable that some of them will likely be part of the new Battle Pass that will inevitably come. Before you can check out all the new cool items, skins, gliders, and harvesting tools, you will have to endure a server maintenance.
While the maintenance is ongoing, you can take a look at the already leaked skins:
Fortnite servers go offline – When will they be back online?
When does server downtime start? Around 9:30 AM German time, player search will be disabled. At 10:00 AM the Fortnite servers will be shut down.
When are the Fortnite servers back online? For minor updates, the servers are usually back online after a few hours. For a “major release” like we are experiencing now, the downtime can take longer. However, it is expected that the servers will be running again between 12 PM and 2 PM.
When the servers are back online, you will find out as usual at MeinMMO – here you will also find the patch notes, which will be published in time for the start of the downtime.

What does update 6.0 bring for Save the World players? The PvE faction can look forward to a mini-event called “Cram Session” (in English, this is an expression for students who study all night before an exam).
For Epic, this means: We are stuffing many of the past goodies into this event so that you can prepare for future events. There will be no Llamas and tickets, but:
- For miniboss alarm missions, you will receive double EXP, materials for upgrades, perk mats, and gold
- Complete four quest lines, each with ten stages, which according to Epic grant outstanding one-time rewards upon successful completion. This way you can receive hero, blueprint, and survivor EXP or gold
In addition, each week a new hero or weapon will come to the event store, which Epic will also stock up with favorites from past events.

Epic rewards the security of your account: Anyone who protects their Epic account with two-factor authentication, will also receive
- 50 Armory Slots
- 10 Backpack Slots
- 1 legendary Troll Llama
How it will specifically continue at the start of the new Season 6 in Fortnite: Battle Royale, you will find out soon at MeinMMO. To stay up to date, visit our Mein MMO Fortnite Facebook page!
