For the new update 4.5, the servers of Fortnite: Battle Royale will be offline on all platforms (PC / Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS) for maintenance. A new patch will be released. The new game mode Creative will likely come. When will the servers go offline and when will Fortnite be playable again?
Every week, Epic brings us a new update for Fortnite, which includes new content for the PvE mode Save the World and the Battle Royale part.
This week is special, however: The Creative mode is coming – a long-awaited feature that finally gives players the opportunity to practice away from competition (even against friends).
Fortnite servers go offline – When will they be back online?
When does the server downtime start? Around 09:30 AM CEST, player search will be disabled. At 10:00 AM, the Fortnite servers will subsequently be shut down.
When does the server downtime end? Typically, the servers are back online around noon. However, actual times may vary. Epic has also had issues that have accidentally extended downtime.
Update 10 AM: The servers are now offline.
What’s in patch 4.5 for Fortnite today?
What’s included in the update for Fortnite: Battle Royale: The Creative mode! Train with the weapons and building mode of Fortnite: Battle Royale as you like. The mode even allows respawns, so you can go all out. Unfortunately, the mode is only available for a limited time.
Creative mode currently offline: Unfortunately, there seem to be issues with Creative mode. Therefore, the developers have temporarily taken the new mode offline again. We’ll let you know when it’s available again.
Additionally, Epic will likely bring along some bug fixes. Mein MMO will provide you with the exact patch notes as usual, as soon as they are known.
What’s in the update for Save the World? Epic published a new roadmap a few days ago that clarifies the direction for the PvE mode.
Specifically, players can now directly purchase heroes and schematics. This will allow for more targeted “directly earning heroes and schematics” – thus players won’t have to rely on loot lamas and random chances if they have enough resources.
