As in every week, a new Fortnite update is also coming today, Wednesday, September 11th. For this purpose, the servers on all platforms (PC/Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS, Android) will be taken down for maintenance. But how long will it last? And what does the patch actually bring? Weekly routine: Besides newly discovered exploits and the rather surprising removal of some weapons, the old cube acquaintance Kevin is back in Fortnite: Battle Royale.
Presumably, the update will have an impact on the cube. However, before players can go on an exploration tour, the servers will be taken down as they are almost every week. A new update version 10.30 will be applied.
Update 11:30 AM: The new update 10.30 for Fortnite is here and brings Moisty Palms and Greasy Grove. You will transform into toilets and tacos will rain from the sky.
Fortnite servers going down – when and for how long?
When do the maintenance work start? At 09:30 AM German time, you may enter a new lobby for the last time, after that, it will no longer be possible. Around 10 AM, the servers will finally be unreachable, and you will have to take a break.
How long will the server downtime last: Based on experiences from the last weeks and months, the work should be completed around noon. You can read here about any technical problems or other delays.

What’s in the new Fortnite update 10.30
What’s new in the Battle Royale mode? This week, the information is exceedingly thin; not even a new item or weapon has been announced so far. However, the wording of the maintenance announcement by Epic on Twitter is intriguing. Essentially, it translates to “Break out of your shell.” The significance of these words is being hotly debated in the forums.
The most popular theory suggests that the cube will break open. Data miners have found various layers within the cube itself, so the suspicion is therefore well-founded. Clearly, players will soon learn what lies inside the cube.
Furthermore, there will likely be changes to the map again, this time two important locations are supposed to be affected. Players are still waiting for the collaboration with the horror movie IT 2.
What content is coming for the Save the World mode? Unfortunately, there is still no new roadmap with new content for the PvE mode of Fortnite. Based on the announcement on Reddit, it can be assumed that there will be new content for “Hit the Road”. More details will only be revealed by the patch notes.
