Fortnite Season 2 Chapter 2 will end in June, due to an extension. But will we have a live event at the end of Season 2 this time? We will show you what hints there are.
What kind of live event is this? Since the end of Season 3, Fortnite has been telling a story. And since Season 3, which started in March 2017, there have been live events in Fortnite that are supposed to conclude a season.
However, there was no such event in Season 1 of Chapter 2. A new season was simply initiated without any transition. Could we finally get a live event again?
Will there be a live event in Season 2 Chapter 2?
Actually, Season 2 was supposed to end in April 2020. But there was a delay. In the meantime, the official start date for Season 3 has been announced. It will begin on June 4, 2020.
What hints suggest a live event?
The current theme of this season is “Agents”. The teams Ghost and Shadow seem to be waging some kind of war. The new places on the Season 12 map are being taken over by the factions. Could this be the story leading to a live event?
To understand it better, let’s look at the hints that have been found.
Dataminers find leaks about a possible event: In the data of Fortnite, dataminers were able to find some hints that point to a “Fritter” event. That is at least what it is called in the files.
According to the dataminer HYPEX, 3 steps are to be triggered:
- The doomsday device will disappear from the secret room
- A countdown will appear
- Then there will be a “KeyDeliverCalendarEvent”, but it is still unclear what exactly that will trigger
New items appear in Fortnite: In the headquarters of the agents, located in the Battle Pass menu, a new red cable has appeared.
It seems to lead to a hidden room that cannot yet be accessed. However, if you view the room from Midas’s office, you can see a strange device that may be powered by the cable.
The doomsday device is said to appear in the headquarters of the agents. If such a weapon really comes, it could potentially destroy the entire Fortnite world.
The dataminer FortTory found the doomsday device in the data of Fortnite. This is what it would look like:
These items appeared at “The Agency” and are located underwater. After the Update 12.40, they began to glow. A dataminer took a look at what is inside.
Inside it is entirely purple and strongly resembles the storm that harms players when they are inside it. It seems to store the same energy.
What is the connection between the doomsday device and the agents?
The connection is Midas, the head of the organization. He is also the Battle Pass Skin that can be unlocked at level 100. The intro, before he can be assigned to the teams Ghost or Shadow, has been leaked (via Twitter). In the background of his agent’s office, a secret room can be seen.
This room contains the doomsday device mentioned above. He seems to have a plan that might be related to the live event.
All hints also indicate the agency located in the middle of the map. There, one can also find the mini-boss Midas.

How can you participate and join the live event?
If you want to participate in the live event, you first need to start the game normally. The date and time when the event takes place are important here.
What time does the live event take place? Based on experience from previous live events in Fortnite, it will likely take place on the last day of the current season at 8:00 PM. We at MeinMMO will inform you when this event will take place.
If you’re aware of it, start the game. There, you will find a special mode that will be “created” specifically for the event. Be sure to be ready early to avoid long queues.
These could lead to you not being able to participate in the event or missing parts of it.
