In Fortnite , players Cloak and Tfue are considered one of the best duos in the world. However, while Twitch star Tfue wants to leave the clan but is not allowed to, FaZe is now letting his partner Cloak go. This is because Tfue is participating in the Fortnite World Cup, but Cloak is not.
What Cloak says: The Twitch streamer and Fortnite player Dennis “Cloak” Lepore says he has wanted to leave his contract with FaZe for 6 months. Because he was in the same “shitty contract” as when he signed. Cloak has been with FaZe since March 2018.
But apparently he got neither permission to leave FaZe nor was offered a new contract for 6 months.

We will be open to transfer proposals from other organizations as we explore our options moving forward.#FaZeUp

Only when it was clear that he would not qualify for the Fortnite World Cup, did FaZe issue a statement saying they would let Cloak go. However, without coordinating that with him first.
It was said that an agreement had been reached to let him go.
Cloak complains in the Twitch stream that they did not discuss this with him, even though he had wanted to leave for so long.
Even former FaZe players like “Thomas 72hrs” had problems leaving. For “72hrs”, the departure was delayed for two months until a replacement for the Fortnite team was found.
The catch is: While FaZe is letting the Fortnite player Cloak go, they are retaining the “clan rights” to him.
If Cloak decides to join another organization, the new clan would need to negotiate a transfer fee with FaZe.
Apparently, FaZe wants to prevent Tfue from really starting an organization and recruiting his friend.
Tfue, however, denies wanting to start an organization – he is too dumb for that.
#Fortnite: Announcing @FaZeClan‘s intent to grant @cloakzy with Restricted Free Agency
FaZe will not pursue a transfer on our own, and allow Cloak to represent himself moving forward. We will retain his player rights should he wish to be moved elsewhere at a later date.#FaZeUp

The irony is: The real star of FaZe is Cloak’s partner, Turner “Tfue” Tenney. He has one of the largest Twitch channels in the world.
Tfue is doing everything to get out of the contract, even suing the clan – but he is apparently too valuable to FaZe, who simply will not let him go.
There are no indications that FaZe and Tfue are moving in any way – FaZe seems to really be willing to let it go to court.
Thus, Tfue is still officially with FaZe and under contract, while his partner Cloak can now continue alone.

What it’s about: The bitter part here is that Cloak can apparently leave because he did not make it to the World Cup. So he is rewarded for a failure.
While Tfue remains under contract because he will be participating in the World Cup as a solo player. He is therefore punished for a competitive success.
Overall, this situation seems bad.
