In Fortnite, Chapter 7 Season 1 is coming to an end soon, and many fans can hardly wait to dive into Season 2. Although Epic Games has hardly released any information yet, there are some details you should know.
When does Chapter 7 Season 2 start? The new season is set to start on Thursday, March 19, 2026. So you still have to wait for over a month. The end of Season 1 was actually supposed to take place on March 4, but it has been pushed back by a few days.
Aside from that, there are already some hints about what you can expect in the upcoming season. Keep in mind that most of this information is based on leaks, so take it with a grain of caution.
Battle Pass & Map: What to expect in Season 2?
Is there any information about the Battle Pass? Not directly. The reliable leaker Hypex revealed on X (Source: Threads.com) that Season 2 will revolve around Nordic themes. Whether this will involve mythology is not entirely certain – some Viking skins already exist in Fortnite. In addition, the Ice King from Chapter 1 is said to return and represent some sort of boss that players can face (Source: X.com). It is also unclear whether the Ice King will be a boss for a live event or if he will just patrol the map.
Is there any information about the map? No, there is no information about the map yet. Since this is just a new season, Epic Games will only make slight changes to the existing map from Chapter 7.
Will there be a live event? So far, there is nothing to suggest for or against a live event. We will have to wait until the developers have more information to share.
Is there information on upcoming collaborations? Yes, a collaboration with Overwatch is planned (Source: X.com). Skins from the franchise, like Tracer, are expected to be available as skins. However, it is not yet confirmed how they will look and whether they will make it into the game at the release of Season 2 – these are leaks.
