New update for Season 2 aims to address server issues
Epic Games continues to monitor the ongoing server issues. In about 5 hours, players will be able to download a new version of update 29.00 that should work. However, the team is still working to solve the problem, according to Epic Games.

The developers still have not commented on why the downtime is being extended by 8 hours. While some players are puzzled and can hardly wait to play, others are already looking forward to the collaboration between Fortnite and the singer “Juice WRLD”.

What is happening today in Fortnite? Today marks the start of Chapter 5 Season 2 in Fortnite, also known as “Myths and Mortals”. The new season revolves around Greek mythology and gods. Several skins have been revealed, including Zeus, Artemis, Ares, and Hades.

Fortnite: Server Down – When and for how long will they be offline?
This is the downtime in the morning: According to Epic Games, the servers are scheduled to be shut down at 09:00 AM German time. Matchmaking will already be disabled 30 minutes prior, so you won’t be able to look for new rounds from 8:30 AM onwards.
When can you play again? This is a major update. It is likely that Epic Games may not get the servers back up and running until around 1:00 PM or even 2:00 PM. But this is not confirmed.
When will the patch notes come? After every major update, such as the start of a season, Epic Games will release a huge list of all patch notes. If these become known, we will list them in a separate article.
What content could come with Update 29.00?
In advance, Epic Games revealed some teasers announcing upcoming content for Chapter 5 Season 2. This includes skins as well as the new setting and the season title. You can expect the following:
