The live event “The Big Bang” took place on Saturday, December 2, in Fortnite. We from MeinMMO were live at the event marking the end of the OG Season in Chapter 4. Here we report how the concert by Eminem went.
Everything has come to a head: Since the beginning of Season: OG fans have been able to visit the old map of Chapter 1 in nostalgic atmosphere and fight with legendary weapons and items from that meta. A touching moment for the community that brought many players back on board.
In the background, however, the story continued and Sloane along with Jonesy worked to switch to another reality using the Visitor’s rocket. The live event therefore served as the pivot point for the switch. We show you what happened.
Here’s how the live event “The Big Bang” proceeded:
This is what happened at the live event marking the end of Season OG: If you survived the queues, you spawned near the Visitor’s rocket. Players could chat there with emotes until the start. Before that, players were allowed to calibrate their audio settings.
The event started with the rocket launch and an alarm. Players could watch as a rift opened in front of the meteor and the map was torn again into the infamous black hole. Everything seemed lost, but then a portal opened and took your skin into space, where many universes with different content awaited the players.
Among the contents were a Lego world with familiar Fortnite faces like the Durr Burger. In this dimension, players could build houses and even fight against nasty monsters.
The second universe brought players into a world of racing cars. Fans could race on a racetrack and compete with their colleagues. Various moves like boosts or jumps could be performed with the cars.
Last but not least, there came a musical dimension, where players could attend a concert by Eminem. The rap song could then be played by the players themselves like in Guitar Hero using keys. Eminem himself crashed his own concert and then performed the song “Godzilla.”
After all universes were visited, your player floated through the depths of space filled with more universes and now stood before the universe of the “Battle Royale” world. There is not yet a server downtime, as Epic Games wants to host its live event two more times.
When does Chapter 5 Season 1 start? So far, there is no information. We will keep you updated if something new is released. Epic Games plans to hold its “Big Bang” event two more times and after the last date at 5:00 AM German time on Sunday, there should be server maintenance.
