Fortnite is in Chapter 3 and in the ongoing Season 4, a pressing atmosphere is spreading: Everything on the map is being consumed by Chrome and according to hints, the “Nothing” is on the way. Now, there are many signs that Chapter 3 could end as early as December 2022.
What is happening in Fortnite? Those who have been following the ongoing story in Fortnite closely will notice what terrible things are going to happen to you and the island.
Since the fight against the IO was won and all players planned their peace celebration, a new creature has been secretly crafting its evil plan to destroy the Chapter 3 reality – The Harbinger.
It is she who plunges your map into Chrome and takes everything one by one. But this is just the beginning: Hints indicate that a greater threat is approaching. And this could end Chapter 3 sooner than expected.
The Nothing is coming and knows no mercy
What suggests an early end? Those who participated in Chapter 2 Season 8 and went through the cube invasion of Kevin should still remember the Cube Queen. The ruler and reality destroyer had several items in the Battle Pass that hinted at the end of Chapter 2, even before leakers and lore experts were aware of it.
Ultimately, the unimaginable happened, and the map was turned upside down. Then Chapter 3 appeared, along with a new map. Now three items in the Battle Pass of Season 4 are again hinting at a terrible disaster.
The descriptions of the individual items from the Harbinger set read:
- The Harbinger
- The Nothing is coming.
- Eulogy Blade
- Ready for the final cut?
- Glowing Ember Mantle
- The last light you will ever see.
In short, the descriptions could hint at the arrival of the “Nothing.” A mysterious and formless power that will consume everything.
It is also interesting to see that in the cube invasion of Season 8, the map was also corrupted and attempted to be taken by Kevin. So there are again parallels indicating that an end in December is possible.
Live event allegedly already planned according to leakers: The leaker GMatrixGames (via. twitter) has been digging through Fortnite data and found out that in the last update 22.40 of Season 4 Chapter 3, a live event could be present.
What the scope of this event will be is still unknown. However, this fact could suggest that Epic Games has something big planned. It remains to be seen how irreparable the condition of the Chapter 3 map will be after the Harbinger’s corruption.
