In Fortnite there was a surprising patch today, on February 25, 2020. We show you in the German patch notes which bugs in the game were fixed.
This is included in the new update: With the surprising patch, several bugs have been fixed. Among them was a bug where you could not gift the Battle Pass.
On the Fortnite-Trello, you can find bugs that were fixed with the update.
Gift the Battle Pass
Shortly after Season 2 started, a bug appeared where you could not gift the Battle Pass. This bug has been fixed with the surprise update.
You can now gift the Battle Pass of Season 2 to your friends.
PC players may need to restart their PC for this function to be re-enabled.
Building edit while sprinting
A bug caused issues when trying to edit building parts while simultaneously sprinting.
This bug has now been fixed with the patch on all platforms.
Aim assist has been fixed
There were some problems with the aim assist where it did not perform consistently correctly. A player noticed that the aim assist even worked through walls:
This issue should now be resolved with the update.
Emote bug has been fixed
There was a bug where players could not move after using an emote. This was particularly frustrating as it restricted gameplay.
This issue has now been resolved with the patch, and players can now freely use their emotes in the game.
Further bug fixes
With the surprising update, several more bugs have been fixed. These issues have now been resolved:
- Corrupted styles for the 8-Ball are displayed again in the lobby
- Players no longer get stuck in the menu after requesting a refund
- “Failed to join party” message is no longer sent incorrectly
- Parental controls can now be used again
