What is happening in Fortnite right now? On Sunday, May 3, 2020, Epic brought the “Star Wars” skins back to the Item Shop. You can purchase Rey, Kylo Ren, and the Sith Trooper.
In addition, there are pickaxes, emotes, and gliders. But that’s not all, because the lightsabers are back in the game and you can use them for combat.

What are lightsabers anyway? Lightsabers were introduced during the “Star Wars” event. Players had to vote on which color they liked best.

Why are the skins and lightsabers back? The return of the Star Wars items is no coincidence. On Monday, May 4th, “Star Wars” Day takes place.
This is an unofficial holiday during which the Star Wars films are celebrated. May 4th was chosen because the pronunciation in English (may the 4th) resembles the saying: “May the force” be with you, a quote known from the films.
