Fortnite is in the Star Wars frenzy! Lightsabers and matching skins are back in the game for Star Wars Day. We show you how to get a lightsaber in Fortnite.
This was the Star Wars event: Slightly delayed and with login issues, the Star Wars event went live – but it brought everything that should be part of a Star Wars event. The Millennium Falcon was there, Stormtroopers are on the move and there was even a scene from the new movie.
Now the Star Wars items and lightsabers are returning on May 4, 2020 to celebrate Star Wars Day.
How to get a lightsaber in Fortnite
How to get a lightsaber: To get a lightsaber, you don’t need to take any special steps. You land on the island as usual, look for a good starting point, and then the search for weapons begins.
The difference: In addition to the usual chests, there are now lightsaber crates in the game. They can appear anywhere.
You just have to open these crates and choose one of four lightsabers. The available weapons are from:
- Luke Skywalker
- Mace Windu
- Rey
- Kylo Ren
You can also just take them all if you can’t decide. The lightsabers can also be found in regular chests.
How to use lightsabers in Fortnite
This is what lightsabers can do: Lightsabers are not just a substitute for your harvesting tool. They are a proper weapon that can deal significant damage in close combat.
Furthermore, you can deflect bullets with them – just like you see in the movies. So if you are under a hail of bullets, you can use a lightsaber to get out of trouble. It’s all quite simple: use R2 to attack, and L2 to block attacks.
