Why is there a building ban? Today, on August 6, the first content update for Patch 10.0 in Fortnite was released. The update brought a new rifle into the game and changed part of the map.
The location Neo Tilted is quite new in the game with its bright colors. Previously, it was called Tilted Towers. Now it has been changed again. After the appearance of a mysterious machine, the location is now called Tilted Town and resembles a Western town.
What does the new location mean? Those who visit Tilted Town will be greeted by an overlay on their screen. In the city, building or harvesting material is not allowed. One of the core features of Fortnite: Battle Royale.
Normally, players smash trees, rocks, and buildings and collect material from them. From this material, they build stairs or massive constructions to protect themselves from opponents or to attack them strategically. This is not possible in Tilted Town. Actually.
This is how players build anyway: It took only a few hours after the update on Tuesday for players to find out how to circumvent the building ban. They are being creative and simply tricking the developers’ rules.
On Twitter, a player shared a video showing his glitch. He initially demonstrates how the building ban appears in the game. Entering the city triggers a message that explains it.
Then he accesses the driftboard that he was using. He skillfully shoots it into the zone of Tilted Town.
Quickly, it becomes clear that no entry message for the zone appears on the screen. Fortnite does not seem to recognize in this way that the player is actually not allowed to build. As a result, no building ban rule takes effect. The player can now easily create stairs and more there.
Another method is to cleverly execute building outside the zone so that you fall into the building ban area. A chain of events then ensures that building is permitted.
By exploiting these glitches, one gains an unfair advantage in Fortnite. We advise against using these glitches and hope that the team from Epic Games will soon provide hotfixes for this.
