Today, on April 11, Epic will release the new update 3.5.0 for Fortnite. For this, Fortnite will go offline for maintenance on PC, PS4, iOS, and Xbox One. The update will include a number of bug fixes as well as bring the new Port-a-Fort into the game.
According to Epic, the update 3.5.0 will include several bug fixes, including the “Floating Gun Glitch.” We have already compiled which bugs will be fixed. But that’s not all.
Additionally, the Port-a-Fort will be added to the game – a grenade that lets you build a fort in seconds. It is not known whether this will be unlocked today.

Changes to the Guided Missile are coming!
As confirmed by an Epic employee in a Reddit post, there will also be adjustments to the Guided Missile, which many players believe is too strong, especially in team modes.
The exact changes are not yet known. They only mentioned that they have received a lot of understandable feedback regarding the Guided Missile – and made appropriate adjustments for update 3.5.0.
There will also be a change to traps, according to a corresponding post on Reddit. Many players wish for the ability to distinguish their own traps from those of opponents. Epic refers to the patch notes for 3.5.0 – there will be a distinguishing feature (possibly color-coded).

Will there be server downtime? Yes
It is not known. Epic only stated that players can expect the update around 10 AM German time. Since in the past, server downtimes were always announced, players will likely only need to download an update this week.
Console players should expect a larger update according to Epic – due to future stabilization measures. What this exactly means is unclear. Whether the update will be larger than the accidental 10 GB last week on PlayStation 4 remains to be seen.
Update: The Fortnite servers went offline for maintenance at 10:00 AM. It is not known when Fortnite will be back online. At around 11:35 AM, the Fortnite servers were back online.
During the morning, Epic will usually release the patch notes for update 3.5.0. Due to the number of features and problem fixes, these will be significantly more extensive than in recent weeks.
