Fortnite: When does Season 4 come out and how will it run? [Update]

The third season of Fortnite: Battle Royale is coming to an end. Only a few days remain to unlock Level 100 and thus the John Wick skin. But what will happen next? When does Season 4 start and how much will it cost?

The currently running Season 3 of Fortnite: Battle Royale ends on April 30. So, you only have a few days left to complete all challenges and reach Level 100 in the Battle Pass, which unlocks the coveted John Wick skin as well as a bonus quest series for his glider.

Have you completed everything? Congratulations, you have finished Season 3 and can look forward to the start of the new Season 4 in Fortnite. What will the new season bring? It is certain that the Battle Pass will return. What theme it will follow is still unknown.

What you need to know about the start of the new Season 4!

Since Season 3 will end on April 30, the start of Season 4 on May 1 seems very likely.

Season 2 ended on February 21, and Season 3 began on February 22. Epic does not leave any gap between the end of the old season and the start of a new one.

Update: The start of Season 4 has now been confirmed. It will be on May 1. Epic Games announced this via Fortnite. At around 10:00 AM on May 1, the Fortnite servers will go offline for maintenance. Once it is complete, Season 4 in Fortnite will begin. This is expected to be around 12 PM or later.

Even though there are currently no details available about the new season, Season 4 will likely play out similarly to the previous seasons.

If Season 4 runs for a similar duration as the current season, it will likely end on July 10 (10 weeks). More details will be provided by Epic soon.

For the rewards of the Battle Pass, you will once again have a series of daily and weekly challenges to complete in order to level up and earn various cosmetic items, such as

• Skins
• Backpacks
• Gliders
• Loading screens
• Pickaxes
• Fall effects

The fall effects and loading screens were only introduced with Season 3 – it is quite possible that Epic will bring additional items that allow you to further customize your skins. The community wishes for nothing more than to mix and match heads of skins with different bodies. A tomato head with a tailored suit? Why not?

Price and rewards of the Battle Pass for Season 4

In Season 2 and 3, the Battle Pass cost 950 V-Bucks each or roughly 10 euros. Even though this price was initially advertised as a promotional offer, it is unlikely that Epic will adjust the price in the new season.

In addition to the rewards mentioned above, there will likely also be V-Bucks to win, which will ensure that the Battle Pass pays for itself. Players of Season 3 received more than 1,000 V-Bucks back as part of the rewards. They earn back through the Battle Pass what they spent on it in V-Bucks.

Theme, game modes, and new items in Season 4?

Regarding the theme, there is currently no information available. While Season 2 was medieval- and knight-themed, Season 3 focused on space travel (and John Wick). Many players still believe that the comet will herald the end of Tilted Towers, but more voices are rising that the gigantic celestial body is not a comet, but rather an envoy of an alien race.

This would also clarify the theme for Season 4 – aliens and wacky space stuff.

There is now a solid hint: In a tweet, Epic hinted at superheroes as the new theme for Season 4!

Which theory – especially regarding the comet – is now going to be confirmed: It remains exciting and crazy!

Fortnite Mobile could also be released for Android during Season 4

And what else? During Season 3, Fortnite was also released on iOS devices. So, it could be that Android users will also get to enjoy Fortnite on their mobile devices during Season 4.

So far, there is no option for Android players yet. Sites that advertise Fortnite Android are just pulling a scam pattern.

Also, during the new season, Epic will again bring wacky game modes and new items into the game that should provide variety. Who knows – maybe the guided missile will return in a new form. It was recently removed due to balance issues.

There are currently no details available about new modes. Only the jetpack and a related mode were announced, but was postponed due to issues. It is quite possible that the mode will finally become a reality during Season 4.
