A new exploit in Fortnite: Battle Royale is making the rounds, making the rocket launcher even stronger than it already is.
Reddit user CratesofWrath has pointed out the exploit and demonstrated in a video that rocket launchers can be fired significantly faster than intended:
His opponent managed to reload the rocket launcher faster than it is supposed to be allowed.
In the second part of the video, CratesofWrath compares the normal firing rate of the rocket launcher with that of the opponent and highlights significant differences.
Rocket launchers are already a thorn in the side of many players because they are extremely powerful and have a large explosion radius. Specifically, enemy structures can be turned to rubble in fractions of a second with a rocket launcher.
How the exploit works is unclear: Fortunately, the Reddit user does not reveal how the exploit works. However, it appears to involve a well-timed interruption of the reload sequence.
How does Epic respond? The developer of Fortnite, Epic, has not commented on this exploit yet. If the issue is indeed related to the reload animation, fixing it may not be easy.
In fact, there is even a risk that other weapons may also be affected by this exploit, but simply have not been discovered yet.
