Fortnite Season 6 Chapter 2 is coming to an end. But what about the live event that usually takes place at the end of a season? Will we not get an event or will there be another special solo event? We will show you what is known so far.
What kind of live event is it? Since Season 3, in March 2017, Fortnite has had live events that conclude a season. There have only been a few exceptions where a season was not concluded with such an event. Here’s what we have experienced so far:
- a meteor strike
- a rocket launch
- an explosion of Kevin the Cube
- other dimensions
- a snowstorm
- a giant battle
- a black hole that swallowed the Fortnite map
- a tsunami that nearly flooded the entire map
- a battle between Galactus and the Marvel superheroes
- and lastly, we saw Agent Jones save the Fortnite world
But what about the live event at the end of Season 6 – Chapter 2?
Will the live event even take place?
Season 6 Chapter 2 will end on June 8, 2021. So we have to wait another 3 days until it continues with the next Season 7. So far, there are no indications of how Season 6 will end.
What indications speak against a live event?
These hints are missing so far: Epic has mentioned the start date of Season 7 several times in different blog posts, but so far there is no trace of information about a live event – since the season lasts only a few more days, it is strange that nothing has been mentioned about the event yet. This would suggest that there will be no live event at the end of Season 6.
Reliable dataminers like HYPEX also seem to agree that there will be no live event, as they could not find any hidden data about an event in the last update of the season. However, it could be that another solo event will take place at the start of Season 7 – at least that is what the leaker suggests.
Looking at the situation, it seems rather that there will be no live event at the end of Season 6 where we can all watch together. However, this does not rule out that there will be some form of “event”.
What indications are there for an event?
How could the event still play out? Even though the chances for a “live” event are currently not so good, we could still get a solo event like at the start of Season 6.
At the start of Season 6, Epic tried a different variant of the event: There was a cinematic, and you had to help Agent Jones save the Fortnite Island, but everyone did this individually when Fortnite was started for the first time in the new season. So it did not happen live for everyone at the same time.
So it could be that we will experience a similar kind of event at the start of Season 7. After all, UFOs and aliens are currently roaming the Fortnite island to abduct players. It would be exciting to see whether the aliens will contribute to a story event. However, keep in mind that this is not officially confirmed and is still only a theory.
