In Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 6 has started, but some of the exotic weapons have disappeared. Nevertheless, there are still 6 to be found in this season. We will show you their locations and whether they are worth it for you.
Update May 17, 2021: We have added the weapons Grappler Bow, unstable bow, and sharpshooter’s pistol to the list of exotic weapons for Season 6. In addition, we have removed the shotgun “The dub” from the list, as it is no longer available in the game. The list is up to date with the latest update 16.40.
What are exotic weapons? Exotic weapons are guns that each have a special function and can only be purchased from NPCs. In Season 5 there was a larger selection of exotic weapons, which has now been reduced in the new season.
Since you can only obtain the weapons from certain NPCs, you also need to know their locations. These have changed in Season 6. We will show you here where you can find the exotic weapons now on the Season 6 map. Furthermore, we will introduce them to you in more detail and for whom they are worth it.

On the map, you can see where the guns are located. However, we will take a closer look at the locations, values, advantages, and disadvantages of each weapon.
Exotic Weapon “Shadow Tracker” Pistol
Here you can find the weapon: The Tracker Pistol can be found with Power Chord in the Apres-Ski hut. Just enter the building and walk towards the speech bubble – it is often found near the dance floor. If you want to buy the exotic pistol, you need to pay 400 Bars.
This is what the “Shadow Tracker” Pistol can do: At first glance, the pistol does not deal a lot of damage, but its special features make it strong nonetheless. When you hit opponents, they will be marked for you and your teammates – giving you a clear advantage as you can always keep an eye on them. Because even if the opponent disappears behind a wall after being hit, their location will be shown to you for 10 seconds. Furthermore, the shots from the pistol are silent, as it is equipped with a suppressor.
This is how much damage the Tracker Pistol deals:

- DPS: 195.75

The pistol is worth it for you if you are accurate, as it does not deal much damage per hit. Additionally, it offers the advantage of marking, making it a worthwhile weapon and since it is silent, you can sneak up on enemies more easily.
Exotic Weapon “Chug Cannon”
Here you can find the “weapon”: You can get the Chug Cannon from Slurp Jonesy, who is located in Slurpy Swamps. Go to the large Slurp factory, which is located northeast of the place. However, you need to give 600 Bars for the cannon.
This is what the “Chug Cannon” can do: The cannon is not actually a real “weapon”, but it is very useful for combat. Instead of dealing damage, it can heal you and your teammates.
- Heals for 18 health/shield
- Does not require ammunition
- Has a cooldown time until you can use it again
The Chug Cannon may be worth it for you if you want a healing item that can be used repeatedly. However, keep in mind that the cannon takes up 2 inventory slots – leaving you less space for other important items.
Exotic Weapon “Hop Rock Dualies”
Here you can find the dual pistol: You can get the “Hop Rock Dualies” from Gutbomb. He is located in Logjam Lumberyard and walks around behind the counter in the burger restaurant. Talk to him and pay 500 Bars to get the dual pistol.
This is what the pistol can do: The “Hop Rock” functions like the dual pistol – firing from both pistols simultaneously. However, with this exotic weapon you also have the “Hop Rock” effect, which allows you to jump a little higher and prevents fall damage.

This weapon is especially worthwhile for players who are accurate and find themselves often in building battles. You can not only quickly secure eliminations with it but also prevent fall damage.
Exotic Weapon “Grappler Bow”
Here you can find the weapon: You can buy the Grappler Bow from the character Lara Croft. She is located in the middle of Stealthy Stronghold and walks through the jungle there. If you want to buy the bow, you need to pay 500 Gold Bars for it.
This is what the exotic bow can do: The special feature of this weapon is that it has a grappling hook which you can attach to various surfaces. By grappling, you will be pulled to the hook at a faster speed. So you can not only create distance between you and your opponents, but also perform cool tricks with it.

If you are looking for a weapon that allows you to perform cool tricks, then the Grappler Bow is worth it for you. If you are accurate, you can also pull enemies towards you with the bow and quickly finish them off with a shotgun.
Exotic Weapon “Instabile Bow”
Here you can find the bow: You can get the “Instabile Bow” from Rebirth Raven. She is located northwest of Sweaty Sands on a hill. Talk to her and pay 500 Bars to get the special bow.
This is what the bow can do: The special feature of this unstable bow is that it transforms into a different bow after each shot. This exotic bow combines the versatile variants of previous options into a single weapon. This means you can essentially have a fire, bomb, poison, and shockwave bow at once without taking up four inventory slots.

The weapon is especially worthwhile for players who can play strongly with the bows in general. A constant switch between different bows could create confusion, which could then prove to be a disadvantage. But with the exotic bow, you always have 4 different bows available and only have to give up one slot in your inventory for it.
Exotic Weapon “Sharpshooter’s Pistol”
Here you can find the pistol: The newest exotic weapon can be obtained from the NPC “Deadfire”, who is located northwest of Lazy Lake in a sheriff’s office. If you pay the character 400 Gold Bars, the pistol will be yours.
This is what the weapon can do: The sharpshooter’s pistol can be used in 2 different ways. The pistol can be fired from the hip and is very fast in this way, but inaccurate. If you want to shoot accurately, you must aim – but this makes the weapon slower.

- DPS: 120
- Magazine size: 6
The exotic weapon is only strong if you land good headshots with it – which is actually unfavorable if you tend to shoot from the hip and likely miss more often. However, if you want a bit of variety, the weapon might still be worth it for you.
If you want to add variety to your matches, you should look for these exotic weapons. It’s best to buy the ones that are worth it for you so you don’t waste Gold Bars.
If you’d rather try other weapons, you can now craft prehistoric weapons in Season 6. These can be crafted from hunted wild animals and also provide variety.
