A change in XP gain in Fortnite is currently receiving a lot of praise and enthusiasm from the community of Fortnite. In Season 8, earning XP was quite difficult. This led to criticism of the game. With a major change to quest XP, Fortnite is reaching out to the players.
What was the problem? Season 8 in Chapter 2 designed the concept of XP gain so that players could consistently earn XP throughout the season. So, players had to play regularly to gradually climb their Battle Pass. However, for players who only played occasionally, earning XP was thus difficult.
In Patch 18.10, Epic Games already made some changes, but these were not well received. However, now, with an update from October 6th, the repeatable quests are well worth it for you.
This is how much XP quests give now
This has changed: On Twitter, the Fortnite Status account wrote on October 6th about the new quest changes. The rewards for both regular quests and legendary quests are changing.
- Common: 2,500 XP
- Previously, these only gave 500 XP
- Green – Uncommon: 2,650 XP
- Previously, there were 525 XP
- Blue – Rare: 2,750 XP
- Before the update, there were 550 XP
- Purple – Epic: 2,900 XP
- Previously, there were 575 XP
- Orange – Legendary: 3,750 XP
- For legendary quests, there were only 750 XP before the update
This is what you should keep in mind: These changes apply not only to shared quests that you share with your teammates but also to when you complete quests alone and receive them from NPCs. A question that arose in the community and has already been answered by players on reddit.
Community celebrates the changes
What do players say about it? The changes are being well received in the community. Players are happy that Epic Games took the problems of players to heart and now presents a solution.
- “Big W[in], good change. Even if the general XP from chests, eliminations, etc. still needs a little buff,” writes BroMan2755 on reddit.
- “Fortnite, keep this for every season and no one will ever complain again. If you want to grind, you can do that, and if not, you can still slowly reach level 100. This is perfect,” says MorraRocky on Twitter.
Some players now wish for rewards up to level 300, as reaching level 200 through the changes is now quite easy.
