Fortnite apparently accidentally leaked a winter event early, which is supposed to be active only in North America so far. Players can earn cool rewards in it. We will show you what is already known about it.
What kind of event is this? On Monday, January 25, a special website for the Winter Trials is supposed to have appeared on the official Fortnite site. Some information about this event could already be seen there.
However, shortly after that, the website was inaccessible for some time, leading to the assumption that the event was not yet ready to be announced. Now the website is working again and some players can already take on the challenges.
Are the Winter Trials coming to us soon?
What is supposed to happen at the event? In the Winter Trials, players should be able to register, unlock various rewards, complete challenges, and support different content creators.
In the selection of the respective challenges, players should even be able to participate through community voting. By completing tasks, players can earn points that then determine which reward they unlock.
When is the event supposed to start? According to the website, the event started on Tuesday, January 26, and is supposed to be active until February 1, 2021. However, the event is currently only available to players in the North America region.
Other regions are supposed to follow in the future according to Epic – a specific date has not yet been given. We will inform you as soon as there is new information or an official announcement from Epic Games that we will also receive the Winter Trials in Europe.
What rewards are supposed to be available?
What rewards are already known? There is still no list of all rewards from the Winter Trials. However, three items that can be unlocked were already discovered on the event page. These are shown:
- A spray design featuring a unicorn
- An emoticon that looks like a snowball
- A winter-themed weapon skin

The event might not be the only one coming to Fortnite soon. A leak says that you can fundamentally change vehicles and even equip them with weapons.
