In Fortnite there is a lot going on right now, and fans are eagerly awaiting the “Winter” update. However, it seems that they will have to forgo the popular “Winterfest Lodge”.
What is the “Winterfest Lodge”? It is a cozy wooden cabin with a fireplace, nice Christmas music, and above all, lots of presents. Players could visit it during the previous “Winterfest” updates in Fortnite.
Through the main menu, players could enter and collect up to 14 free gifts over several days, which included items like skins or other cosmetics.
This lodge has always been a very popular feature among many players. However, it currently looks like it will not return this year – but leaks at least suggest that players will still receive gifts.
What do the leaks say about Fortnite Winterfest 2023?
Leaks at the end of November indicated that the Winterfest could return this year. If you check Fortnite right now, you can also see a little snowflake symbol in the “Quests,” although no winter-themed quests are available yet.
New leaks are building on that, but well-known leakers like Hypex or Shiina (via X.com) point out that the lodge itself is likely not to be included.

Here is the good news: Even without the lodge, there will be gifts in Fortnite again. Hypex reports that players must complete “Daily Gift Quests” to receive gifts, and Shiina emphasizes that there will still be daily rewards available, but players must finish a match to get them.
Players will therefore likely have to do without the festive lodge, but at least not without the gifts.
To what extent the leaks ultimately prove to be true or whether anything changes remains to be seen. Currently, these are still unconfirmed information, not official details from Epic.

What else is happening in Fortnite? Actually, a lot, because not only has the new season started in Fortnite, but the LEGO mode, introduced on October 7, is also attracting many players.
In the coming days, Fortnite will also introduce a mode called “Rocket Racing,” where players can race, and start a “Festival” mode, where concerts will take place, for example. Whether and when the “Winterfest” update will follow is still unknown at this time.
