The battle royale shooter “Fortnite” has caused a lot of change with the new Season 8. Since the quest system has also been revised, MeinMMO presents the 3 best tips on how to quickly earn your XP to complete your Battle Pass.
What happened to the quest system? In the seasons before Season 8, the quests were straightforward. Every Thursday, you received a new set of quests which you could complete throughout the week until the next quest reset on Thursday.
However, now that the stamp cards govern the quest system, the familiar progression is filled with obstacles for some players. We will show you which 3 tips will definitely help you level up.
1. Complete all stamp cards and daily tasks
The quests no longer come in the simple “do this and do that” design, but there is a complete quest page with the respective stamp cards.
What are stamp cards? Stamp cards are a reintroduced form of XP acquisition. In Chapter 2 Season 2, there were stamp cards as well, but in a smaller form. Back then, stamp cards were completed incidentally by fishing or eliminating multiple opponents with an assault rifle.
What’s new now? Epic Games scrapped the old quest system and introduced the new and revised stamp card system. There, you can select a stamp card in a separate tab and the corresponding NPC is automatically marked on your map.
Then go to the NPC during a match, let them guide you, complete the tasks, and you’re done with the stamp card. After completing a task, you will automatically be provided with a new task – until all 5 tasks of the stamp card are completed.
Important to note: Try to complete the tasks as much as possible in a team of friends. With the new season, Epic reintroduced group tasks. This means that in a squad of 4 players, each can take on a quest.
By completing in a squad, everyone receives the progress and XP credited. So, in a battle royale round, you can ideally complete four stamp cards in the shortest time.
2. Don’t forget the creative mode
The creative mode in Fortnite is a separate platform to have fun. There, you can play modes created by content creators and unwind with your friends from the stressful battle royale.
But why is this so important? You only get XP by simply entering a creative world. Provided, you stay there for at least 15 minutes. Epic rewards you if you take a few minutes to play these modes.
You can use this XP-gaining method five times a day. There is still an indirect cooldown; otherwise, many players would simply doze off in their created world and wait for the XP to rain down.
So don’t forget, if you don’t feel like the battle royale mode anymore, just do something else in the meantime and leave your character in the creative mode lobby. Then you won’t miss anything.
3. Impostors mode is an XP goldmine
The Impostors mode, added in Season 7, is a real XP goldmine. The mode is not as sweaty as the battle royale mode, but fun and can be played well in a team.
How can I farm XP there? If you are an agent, complete as many tasks as you can. However, note that you should survive as long as possible to also benefit from the time bonus. If you get caught by a traitor, it would be advantageous not to rage quit but to stay in the lobby. Leaving the lobby early risks losing XP.
As a traitor, you should stretch the match as much as possible and then win. Ideally, you can earn a whopping 17,000 points per round, which is quite impressive for little effort.
More smaller tips:
- In battle royale mode, open many chests, eliminate many players, and immediately pick up items
- Discover remaining undiscovered locations
- Complete bounties to unlock gold and XP
- Complete regular NPC tasks on the side
