In Fortnite: Battle Royale, a particularly expensive skin is currently under criticism. The outfit “Deadfire” from Season 6 used to be reactive and changed its appearance. That is now over, and players are angry.
What is the deal with the outfit? Deadfire was one of the highlights from Season 6. It appeared at the peak of the season when the cube exploded in the game and “Non-Zombies” were unleashed on the world. Deadfire appeared in many cover images and was a cowboy that changed its appearance as the game progressed.
The better you played, the more ghostly the hero became. In the end, Deadfire looked like an undead avenger from the beyond. But that has been over for some time now.
Cowboy no longer changes appearance – Bug or Feature?
This is what’s wrong with the outfit “Deadfire”: Since the beginning of Season 7, buyers of the 20-Euro skin have complained that Deadfire no longer changes. Instead, the skin is supposed to remain in its original state for the entire match and does not change even after many kills and damage dealt.
This is how the community reacts: This annoys the fans of Deadfire a lot. Many bought the skin just because they found the transformation so cool and wanted to stir things up in the endgame as a creepy ghost cowboy. They paid 20 Euros for that. Some fans are now demanding a bug fix or their money back if Epic intentionally made the change.
This is Epic’s response: So far, there has been no official statement from Epic. Only a user on Reddit reports that he received a standard response about two weeks ago. It stated that they would look into the problem. Also, the new update to 7.10 has apparently had no effect on Deadfire.
Epic says: Update 7.20 fixes the issue
Update: Recently, there was finally a statement from Epic on Reddit. They will look into the issue and likely have a solution in the upcoming Update 7.20.
It seems that it was not intentional but rather a bug that will soon be fixed. Therefore, initial reactions are positive.
Did you buy Deadfire and are now also upset because it no longer functions like it used to?
