18-year-old Cody “Clix” Conrod became a successful Twitch streamer with the online shooter Fortnite. Now he has fulfilled a dream and treated himself to the status symbol of his generation: a Lamborghini Huracán, a sports car for €193,000. But when he proudly presents his car to his viewers on Twitch, a friend shows up and brings him back down to reality.
What status symbol did Clix buy? The 18-year-old treated himself to a “Lamborghini Huracán”. When he proudly introduced the car to his Twitch chat, the new car had about 18 kilometers on the clock. Clix said he paid “a good price” for it. We’re talking about around $210,000.
The “Lambo” is a status symbol of the “Bitcoin” generation:
- Even the streamer DrDisrespect was known in 2017 for his fascination with “the Lambo”.
- In crypto and trading forums, young investors constantly dream of making so much money with the next deal that they can finally afford the “Lambo”.
- In German Twitch, gamers like Orangemorange measure their success by whether they can afford the next tank of fuel for the Lambo.
This is how Clix presents himself: Clix beams and almost bursts with pride as he wants to present his Lamborghini to his Twitch viewers. To make it clear what a big deal this is for him, he says: In one photo, he’s even smiling. That’s something really special. Otherwise, he never smiles in photos.
Now he just wants to quickly get feedback from his viewers: Which of the 3 pictures he took in all the excitement should he post on Twitter and Instagram?
- The one where he leans coolly against the Lambo and looks out into the distance
- The one where he is sitting on the ground in front of the car with his legs spread
- Or the Lambo pure, without him at all
Presentation not going as planned
This puts Clix off a bit: The problem for Clix becomes clear quickly in his Twitch clip. The Twitch chat doesn’t react as reverently as he had hoped:
- Now he already has the Lambo
- But how can he present it on social media so that he doesn’t come off as totally stupid?
His chat certainly states that he looks “sassy” in his photos, meaning somewhat cheeky and also a bit conceited. The hairstyle doesn’t fit. The grin doesn’t look good. Somehow everything is not that great.
But Clix insists: It only looks conceited, he’s just happy in the photo. The hairstyle is terrible, there’s nothing more to be done about it. He’s just a “walking meme.”
How can I post a Lambo without coming across as a conceited jerk?
Clix is clear: He now needs the opinion of an expert. “Stable Ronaldo” (20), his best buddy from Fortnite, shows up in the Twitch channel. But from now on, it only gets worse.
Clix asks his buddy: Which pictures can he post on Twitter so he doesn’t come across like a “douchebag,” a conceited jerk?
His friend, Stable Ronaldo (20), explains to him that it’s impossible. The train has long left:
“You’re 18 and buying a Lamborghini, of course, you look like a jerk.”
Clix seems to slowly realize that he can’t win. The photo that he likes so much, where he sits with his legs apart in front of the car and smiles for once in his life, is dismissed by his friend as ridiculous. He should rather burn it.
Whoever took that photo had no best interests in mind.
His friend explains to him, whoever spreads the legs like that as a man, draws attention to what is visible between his legs… or rather not:
proud of you, to more life my friend🥂 pic.twitter.com/vmQ6zN4LSk

Who needs enemies with friends like these
To Clix’s dismay, a Twitch donation comes in that a robot voice reads out loud:
This money could go to so many people in need, but instead you buy a fancy car to flaunt in front of the less fortunate. You disgust me. I thought you were different from these LA celebrities.
Clix looks almost desperate at that moment.
His expression seems to say: It’s just typical that someone like that had to come: “What kind of dono is that?” he asks, apparently hoping for his friend’s support.
“I mean, he’s not wrong,” replies his friend. Who immediately posts it on Twitter under the poser post with the carefully selected pictures.
this money could have went to people in need but instead you buy a fancy car to flex on the less fortunate. im disgusted with you I thought you were different from all these people

With 154,000 views, this is now the most viewed response to the tweet.
You can see: Who buys a Lambo has completely new problems. And real friends are simply priceless.
Clix has had enough time now to showcase himself:
Update May 17, 8:52 AM: Clix has since followed up and released the YouTube video “I bought a Lamborghini at 18” last night.
In the video, he inspects the car, takes it for a test drive, and thanks his viewers extensively for making it possible for him to fulfill his dream.
