A new MMORPG is coming soon from the South Korean publisher Kakao Games. The game is called Ares: Rise of Guardians and appears to be an action-packed sci-fi game. What kind of game is this? According to early information from the publisher Kakao Games, the game will be called Ares: Rise of Guardians and is set to be a science-fiction MMORPG. The developer is the South Korean studio Second Dive.
What is shown in the teaser? A first, action-packed CGI teaser trailer for the game is already available. However, it is purely a teaser and does not contain gameplay scenes.
In the teaser, you see a futuristic city that is being laid to waste. Cool characters zip around on jet bikes, and armored robot troops advance further. You also see an armored figure with floating, giant fists. The visuals are somewhat reminiscent of looter-shooters like Destiny 2 or Anthem, although the publisher clearly refers to it as an MMORPG.

What features are currently known? There are not many official details about the game, and the teaser does not show any gameplay. Therefore, we do not know whether it will be a first-person or third-person perspective game.
However, it seems that combat suits will play an important role. They are meant to be customizable, and aerial combat is expected to be significant. The combat suits will likely be able to fly, as was already the case in the unfortunately dead shooter Anthem.
What do we know about the story? There is not much known here either. However, it appears to be a martial scenario in a sci-fi setting. The subtitle “Destroy Dystopia” seems to suggest that it might involve a liberation struggle against an oppressive regime.
Aggressive robots are also expected to play a role, as seen briefly in the teaser.
