The developers of Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4 & Xbox One) have included a silly pun directly into the game. Therefore there are now “Fork Knife” trucks. What it’s all about, you can find out here.
What the hell is a Fork Knife? Fortnite is commonly referred to as “Fork Knife” by kids and teens in the English-speaking world. It actually means “fork-knife”, a curious cutlery hybrid of knife and fork, so to speak, the sister of the “spork”. Allegedly, even Kaiser Wilhelm II used such a “Kaiser fork”.
What does that have to do with Fortnite? In English, the word Fortnite, when pronounced imprecisely, sounds like Fork-Knife. This has established itself as a joke in the community, and since then the kids seem to call the game almost exclusively that way. Various tweets and memes have further strengthened this trend.
But with the latest action from the developers, the term “Fork Knife” is really officially in the game!

Epic Games, the developers of Fortnite, are always in touch with the community and found the Fork-Knife joke so good that they immortalized it in the game. Therefore, there are now food trucks in the game that come from a fictional “Fork Knife” franchise. The red trucks can be recognized by the knife and fork on the roof.
What can the Fork-Knife-trucks do? So far, the trucks are just standing around idle and can be chopped up for materials. But who knows, maybe a new weekly challenge will come soon where you have to visit the Fork-Knife trucks? In Season 3, there was something like this with Ice-Cream trucks.
