The heartbeat sensor was for a long time the top item in tactical equipment in Call of Duty: Warzone. After numerous changes, the situation is now different. If you still don’t want to miss the advantages of the sensor, there is a very strong alternative equipment.
Why has the heartbeat sensor become obsolete? At the latest since the introduction of the new map Caldera in Call of Duty: Warzone, the popularity of the item has been declining steadily. The item was nerfed and other things were buffed.
For many strong players, the “Stims” are considered the best tactical equipment. However, if you want more reconnaissance and thus rely on the heartbeat sensor, now is the time to reconsider that decision.
Because the snapshot grenade provides you with better reconnaissance and can even give your team a kind of wallhack that hardly lets you miss any nearby enemies.
Expert calls snapshot tactic “broken”
What makes the snapshot grenades so good? You throw the equipment similarly to a grenade, and within a radius of 25 meters, all enemies are briefly highlighted, even through walls.
In comparison to the heartbeat sensor, you have a much better idea of where your opponent is.
Together with the red perk “Refill”, you have the chance to find out the exact position of enemies nearby every 25 seconds.
Enemies with the “Battle Hardened” (yellow) perks, however, are protected from the highlighting effect. But you still get a brief hitmarker from enemies with the perk.
The snapshot tactic can be pushed to the limit in a team. If you are out with a squad of 4 and everyone is equipped with the Refill perk, you theoretically have a new snapshot grenade ready every 6 seconds.
As a result, you essentially gain the ability to wallhack. A complete team equipped with 8 snapshot grenades can find you, no matter how well you hide.
The recommendation to switch from the heartbeat sensor to snapshot and “Refill” comes from the Warzone expert and YouTuber “JGOD”. We have embedded his English video on the topic here:
Often it is not aiming or brute force that will get you ahead in Warzone. It is the little mechanics, the spontaneous tactics that give you an advantage over enemies.
The snapshot tactic definitely belongs to those cunning maneuvers that also mentally wear down your opponents. Just imagine getting notified every few seconds that a snapshot grenade is revealing you.
Aiming and violence are not completely insignificant, however. That’s why you’ll find here our list of the best weapons in CoD: Warzone.
