The surprise hit of E3? Who could pull something like this off?

So much for the “favorites.” But in gaming, you should also keep an eye on the underdogs: Time and again, there are surprises that no one saw coming.

Perhaps we will witness such a “sensation” at E3, and another candidate will appear out of nowhere?

Asia?

High-quality competition could arise from Asia. Publishing giant Tencent Games is known for getting “inspired” by good Western ideas. After all, the Tencent boss is considered the “king of copiers”, having made a fortune with the Chinese version of AOL.

Previous attempts to develop an MMO shooter have not looked like they were from the top league.

Sony, Microsoft, Amazon?

Perhaps a Western publishing giant like Microsoft or Sony will also decide to directly enter this business to secure an “exclusive title” for their current or future platform.

That would be something that could come in the next few years.

Amazon could also pursue ambitions in this direction in the medium term. They are developing games that should mainly suit Twitch. Games like Destiny are attractive here.

E3 will be exciting for fans of MMO shooters

One thing is certain: E3 will be exciting this year for fans waiting for new games that will play similarly to Destiny or The Division.
