In The Division 2, there is an annoying reason why all agents fail the last Hunter puzzle for the Ivory Keys.
This is the puzzle: If you look around a bit in the operations base, you will find a chest in a room to the right of the main entrance area. This requires 8 Ivory Keys to be opened.
You receive these mysterious Ivory Keys by eliminating certain Hunters. These are particularly nasty and tricky enemies. Only those Hunters that are connected to encoded texts scattered throughout the world will drop a key. There are 8 of these texts as well. The texts are written as riddles.
Just earlier this week, we reported that the 7th riddle was solved, and thus the 7th Ivory Key was found. However, agents have utterly failed at the 8th riddle. The 8th Ivory Key is still missing.
Many players found it suspicious that the smartest minds of the community could not solve this riddle together after riddles 1-7 were mastered relatively quickly. They suspected that there might be a game bug.
And they were right.
Hunter Puzzle 8 is bugged
Yesterday, a Reddit user called on the developers to take another look at the last riddle at the Washington Monument. It might be bugged.
This is what Massive says: Now, community developer Chris Gansler has spoken up. He writes:
Hey. Sorry for the late reply, we wanted to make sure not to communicate anything incorrect about this. The last riddle is currently bugged and cannot be completed.

He adds that they have already planned a fix for it. This will be released next Friday along with the “Tidal Basin” update, which activates World Tier 5.
This means that all efforts to solve the last riddle were doomed to fail. Only at the end of next week can the agents try again – provided the bug is successfully fixed.
Particularly annoying: The same community developer previously stated that they were confident that there were no bugs with these riddles. Therefore, the community was particularly eager to solve all the riddles.
Now he had to correct this statement.
What does the riddle actually look like?
This is the 8th riddle: At the Washington Monument, this text is written in a secret script:
“SCAN THREE LOST SOULS FIND THE TIME TO PAY RESPECTS SOULS HONORED AFTER DARK RETURN TO FIRST MONUMENT AND RELEASE ANOTHER”
The Washington Monument is the huge marble tower in the shape of an obelisk. You can go there yourself and see the riddle in the game. However, you still cannot solve it.
