No First Kill in World of Warcraft without the subsequent nerd screams. But the winners sound less enthusiastic than the second place.
For fans of World of Warcraft, yesterday was an exciting day. The professional guild Method managed to secure the “World-First-Kill” of Queen Azshara in the mythic difficulty mode. More than 250,000 viewers watched the spectacle and were on various channels when Method achieved victory.
This is how the pros from Method screamed: As usual, the overwhelming joy is great when Method finally secures the kill. In old tradition, Method has released a “Nerd Screams” video that shows the moment of the kill, as well as the joyful euphoria on the faces of those present when Azshara finally bites the dust.
But Method’s “Nerd Scream” video sounds almost calm and routine, especially Scripe stands out (middle left), who smiles briefly with satisfaction and then almost appears focused again, as if he already has the next raid boss in sight. But joy looks different for everyone.
By the way, Azshara was considered one of the “worst bosses of all time” by professional guilds.
Limit is clearly more hyped: It was much more euphoric at the guild Limit. They followed suit a few hours later and secured 2nd place in the race, at least claiming the first kill on American servers. During their kill, it could not be described otherwise than that they “completely freak out”.
