Fans of the action game For Honor have had to wait a long time, but now the time has finally come: Ubisoft invites everyone to test the dedicated servers.
This is an open test that anyone can participate in, even those who do not own the game yet. The test starts today at 2 PM and ends on December 18 at 2 AM.
With this, Ubisoft aims to take the next step toward a new online infrastructure for the game. Participants can look forward to exclusive rewards in the form of in-game items. With dedicated servers and the upcoming online infrastructure, the previous connection issues via Peer2Peer should be a thing of the past.
This is what the test offers
Here are the details of the test:
- Starts on December 14 at 2 PM
- Ends on December 18 at 2 AM
- Anyone can participate, whether or not they own the game
- The test will take place with a special client that relies on dedicated servers
- The test client can already be downloaded
- All heroes are available
- The modes played will be 1v1 Duel, 4v4 Dominion, and 4v4 Tribute
- Your progress during the test (XP, achievements, statistics, equipment, steel, level ratings) will not carry over
- However, it is possible to complete daily orders and community orders. The rewards from them will be transferred to the main game
- The test is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One
To participate in the dedicated servers test of For Honor, you must search for “For Honor – Open Test” on your platform of choice (PC, Xbox One, PS4), download the client, and then play today starting at 2 PM.
The test is just the first step
Ubisoft will make further changes to the online infrastructure of For Honor next year. “The team has tirelessly worked on the implementation of dedicated servers while strengthening and improving the current online infrastructure. This has already contributed to a better online experience for our players,” says Stéphane Cardin, Senior Producer at Ubisoft. “By participating in our open test, players help us deliver the best possible experience at the official launch.”
