Ubisoft has just announced the launch date of the second season of the faction war of For Honor. This is called “Shadows and Power” and brings two new heroes. Here is the trailer.
Since yesterday, the first season of the faction war has ended. The Vikings were able to carry off the victory and can now look forward to delicious rewards. Currently, For Honor is in a “season break”. When the new season will start was previously unknown. Until now. Ubisoft announced:
- The 2nd season of the faction war will begin on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 16. That is a Tuesday. Ubisoft released this trailer:
What does the new season bring? – Season 2 in For Honor
The trailer features the heroes “Ninja” and “Centurion” that were leaked months ago. In addition to these two new heroes, there are two new maps, new equipment items, and gameplay updates, according to Ubisoft.
Descriptions for the heroes are provided:
- The “Ninja” is now called Shinobi and is a samurai assassin. They are stealthy warriors who kill with precision. Their weapons are the traditional Japanese kusarigama.
- The Centurion is a knight hybrid. He wields a gladius as a weapon and is considered a strategic close combat fighter.
The new maps (named Forge and Temple Garden) and gameplay updates are free for all players and will be available from May 16. However, the two new heroes will be available directly from May 16 without any additional cost only for “Season Pass” holders. All others will have to wait until May 23. Then they can buy these characters with in-game currency steel.
Additionally: Season 2 brings a new gear quality – the “Epic Gear”. This increases the maximum equipment level and overhauls the entire gear balance.
Each new faction war season will deliver fresh game content in For Honor. A season consists of 5 rounds, and each round lasts two weeks. May 16 is now the first date on which extensive new content will be released in For Honor.
