Ubisoft removes the split-screen mode from For Honor. This eliminates a “key feature.”
For Honor is considered one of the most exciting games set to release in early 2017. In brutal close-combat battles, you carve your way through hordes of enemies, showcasing skill and reaction in intense duels. The innovative “Art of Battle” introduces a novel combat system to the game.
In For Honor, you can play offline as well as online. And in 2015, the developers made it clear: split-screen was a “key feature” for the game, so players could sit on the couch and challenge their friends.
However, this is no longer the case. According to producer Stephane Cardin, the decision was made this week that the split-screen mode will be omitted. Although they loved the idea, more work was needed to support online co-op. With this decision, they can now bring the game to an AAA level and ensure that they deliver the best experience.
What do you think about the absence of the split-screen mode?
