In For Honor there is an in-game shop: Here you can purchase items for real money (microtransactions) and steel.
“Steel” is the in-game currency in For Honor. By participating in matches, you earn steel. You need this currency to, for example, recruit heroes or unlock items in the in-game shop.
But what does the in-game shop actually offer? Here is an overview.
From Season Pass to Steel – What you can find in the in-game shop
You access the shop through the main menu. Select the “Shop” tab and you will see a window with various offers that you can purchase with your currency (real or virtual).
First, you can top up your steel supply with real money. 5000 steel costs 4.99 Euros (cheapest offer), 150,000 steel costs a whopping 99.99 Euros (most expensive offer). In between, there are several steel packages of varying price levels:
With steel, you can purchase armor packages – all of them “Mythic Armors”:
- Immortal Knight: 45000 steel – for Wardens, Conquerors, Peacekeepers, Lawbringers
- Immortal Viking: 45000 steel – for Raiders, Warlords, Berserkers, Valkyries
- Immortal Samurai: 45000 steel – for Kensei, Shugoki, Orochi, Nobushi
- Immortal Assault: 36000 steel – for Wardens, Raiders, Kensei
- Immortal Heavy: 36000 steel – for Conquerors, Warlords, Shugoki
- Immortal Assassin: 36000 steel – Peacekeepers, Berserkers, Orochi
- Immortal Hybrid: 36000 steel – Lawbringers, Valkyries, Nobushi

Champion Status:
The Champion Status offers you various benefits: You receive more materials through disassembly, +25% XP boost, three exclusive Champion emblems, more loot at the end of matches, an exclusive Champion symbol, and +10% boost for allies.
Three days of Champion Status cost 2000 steel, a year costs 65000 steel. In between, there are several tiers.
Gift Packages:
If you have 30000 steel left, you can purchase a package that unlocks all gifts of all 12 heroes at launch.
In addition, there is the Season Pass for Year 1 available in the shop. 30000 steel is listed as the price.
Update: This is a display error as Ubisoft reports. The Season Pass is NOT available for steel, but only for hard Euros.
In short: There are no items in the in-game shop that give you direct advantages in combat against other players. You only find cosmetic items and can speed up progress. However, the contents can also be earned.
