For Honor: The Heroes and Classes of the Samurai

The Samurai have wandered through the southern deserts for millennia. Only with the help of their heroes have they survived. Now they seek to conquer a new homeland to provide protection for their people.

Kensei

The Kensei are masters of samurai martial arts and were trained from childhood to fight and die for their emperor. They wear heavy armor and fight with their Nodachi – longer variants of the katana that can slit opponents with elegant strikes.

• Playstyle: Balanced
• Special Abilities: High, heavy attacks are unblockable, many attacks initiate chain attacks.

Gameplay:

The Kensei are slower than other units but have a greater range in close combat. They are balanced samurai of medium difficulty.

Shugoki

The Shugoki are always male and may appear slow and heavy at first glance. However, their appearance is deceiving – they possess the strength of a demon. Their weapon is a Kanabo, a traditional club weapon, which the Shugoki can wield lethally and precisely.

• Playstyle: Offensive
• Special Abilities: Charged heavy attacks, unstoppable light attacks, passive unstoppable stance.

The Shugoki not only strikes hard but also has high vitality. However, he is slow in attack. He has a “low” difficulty.

Orochi

The Orochi are the imperial assassins of the samurai. They glide like ghosts across the battlefield and are lightly armored. Their weapon is a katana, but they also master the dark secrets of the samurai and can kill in multiple ways – such as with throwing knives and poisoned blades.

• Playstyle: Fast, Counter
• Special Abilities: Very fast, light attacks, can quickly dodge and execute rapid counterattacks, parry abilities.

Gameplay:

The Orochi are difficult to master as you need to bring skill and timing.

Nobushi

Finally, there are the Nobushi – always female samurai. They are elegant and aggressive fighters equipped with light armor. Their weapon is the Naginata, a pole weapon resembling a spear.
