The developer Wyrmbyte announces the new space MMO Warp Nexus, which will be released on Steam in summer 2019. Consoles and mobile platforms will follow later.
What is Warp Nexus? The space MMO is the spiritual successor to the classic MMO Jumpgate. You will be able to travel and explore the galaxies with your self-built spaceship.

What features will Warp Nexus have? The developers at Wyrmbyte have big plans for their new game. According to their statement, it should become “a self-runner” in which players can occupy themselves for a long time.
Here are some mentioned features:
- The world of Warp Nexus is connected by Warp Points, and you do not need a long travel time to get from A to B.
- Players will be able to build their character and their ship themselves and upgrade with new gear and components.
- Different types of content missions, including resource gathering, escort missions, bounty hunting, or surveillance.
- Missions can be designed for solo players as well as for groups.
- Various PvP modes, including a scalable battle royale mode.
- The ability to, for example, issue your own quests for resources and bounty advertisements to other players.
- Unlimited crossplay between all platforms.
Warp Nexus will be released this summer on Steam, with the release on consoles and mobile platforms to follow in 2019.
