The first tests of Monster Hunter World on PC have now been released. Initial reviews are positive, and the PC port is reported to be well done.
Monster Hunter World will be released on August 9 for PC on Steam. The first PC review keys have now been distributed to press and media, and they are sharing their experiences. Overall, testers are positive so far and describe the PC port as smooth. The graphical quality is also impressive.
These points are positively noted:
- It looks quite good
- There is no limitation for resolution and frame rate. Automatically set to 60 FPS, but these can be changed
- There were no frame drops, everything ran smoothly
- The gameplay is well implemented with mouse and keyboard. Only switching between items was noted as more difficult
The following points are negatively noted:
- The graphical options are quite superficial. Nevertheless, there should be enough to adjust the game ideally to your own system
- The lock-on target system does not work as well with the mouse. As soon as the mouse was moved a little, it rapidly sought a new target automatically. However, this could be fixed with a patch.
