First pre-built PCs with B550 chipset and a Radeon RX 5300XT from AMD have appeared at an online retailer. Can you game well with a pre-built PC for 700 Euros?
Alternate offers the HP Desktop M01-F0017ng on its site. Initially, Computerbase reported about it. The special feature of this desktop computer is that it is equipped with a Radeon RX 5300XT. AMD has not yet officially listed the RX 5300XT in its portfolio.
The PC is available according to Alternate in about two weeks for 699 Euros.
What’s inside the pre-built PCs

Modern Ryzen CPU: HP installs a Ryzen 5 3400G in its desktop computer. This CPU offers 8 cores with 16 threads and not only provides enough power but also includes an internal graphics chip. This means the PC starts without needing the dedicated graphics card to work. For gaming, the additional graphics card will be activated.
| Name | cores | Clock/Boost | L2+L3 Cache | TDP | Price | Release |
| Ryzen 5 3400G | 8 cores /16Threads | 3.7/4.2 GHz | 2+4MB | 65 Watt | From 143 Euros | July 2019 |
(Still) unknown graphics card: The Radeon RX 5300 XT is the smaller brother of the immensely successful RX 5700XT. Testers expect that the RX 5300XT is the budget version of the RX 5700XT. So far, it is only known through Alternate that the graphics card has 4,096 MB of integrated memory.
What is the RX 5700XT? The RX 5700XT is AMD’s new graphics card and can definitely compete with Nvidia’s 2070 and 80 series cards. However, it falls short of the Super models of the 2080 series and partly also against the Super models of the 2070 series.

Are the pre-built PCs interesting for gamers?
The graphics chip of the processor, a Vega-11-GPU, is sufficient for current titles, as long as you don’t mind reducing the detail level. And the Radeon RX 5300 XT sounds promising so far. Newer titles should also be able to be rendered by the card without loss of detail.
However, keep in mind that with 4GB of graphics memory, you will quickly reach the limits of the graphics card when using very high resolutions in titles like Tom Clancy’s – The Division 2.
