In Pokémon GO the first trainers have reached level 48. Now we finally know how leveling continues and how difficult the requirements for level 49 are.
This has now happened: It took 9 weeks, but now the first players are at level 48 in Pokémon GO. Trainers from Australia have achieved this – there, the new levels were tested in advance. So the Australian trainers had an advantage over all other players.
Now we know what tasks are required for level 49. Here, especially trades will be important.
Tasks for Level 49 in Pokémon GO
What needs to be done for level 49: There are again 4 tasks that trainers must master. This time it’s about trading Pokémon and sending gifts:
- Trade 10 Pokémon that were caught at least 300 kilometers apart
- Receive 50 lucky Pokémon through trades
- Send 500 gifts to friends
- Receive 35 platinum medals
How challenging are the new tasks? Receiving lucky Pokémon could become quite tricky. 50 lucky friends will be open for very few trainers, so you have to rely on lucky Pokémon within normal trades. The probability varies depending on the age of the Pokémon. The older the monsters, the more likely the chance of lucky Pokémon.
35 platinum medals are also not to be underestimated. Here you need some exotic medals to achieve this goal.
Why did level 47 take so long? For level 47, trainers must have received a 25-kilometer reward from Adventure Sync 8 times. However, this reward is only available once a week. So, you have to wait at least 8 weeks to solve this task.
In the end, the level in Australia actually took 9 weeks. This was due to the fact that in the first week, the Adventure Sync reward was not counted for the level. This was a mistake that was fixed the following week.
When will it continue in Germany? German trainers have reduced the gap due to the error in the first week in Australia. Here, too, the first trainers have likely reached level 48. Now it’s a race to see who will be the first player to reach level 50.
