First leaks for FIFA 23 have surfaced and they speak of a feature that fans have been wishing for years: crossplay. We look at the leaks for the next installment of the series.
While FIFA 22 is still being played diligently, the first hints about FIFA 23 are already appearing on the horizon. Because it should be quite certain that another installment of the famous soccer simulation will be released in the fall.
However, it might be that this installment no longer carries the famous FIFA name.
And maybe the next installment of the soccer series will offer crossplay, so that players can finally play across consoles.
Where do the leaks come from? The leaks come from the well-known gaming journalist Tom Henderson (via xfire.com). He published an article about new content in FIFA 23 without naming any sources.
It is, therefore, unknown where Tom Henderson gets his information from, which is why the leak should be taken with great caution.

Finally crossplay in FIFA 23? According to the leak, FIFA 23 will receive the long-awaited ability to play across different platforms with crossplay. It could be possible that PS5 players can finally compete with Xbox Series X/S owners and PC players in FIFA matches.
However, whether there will also be a shared transfer market for all platforms or crossplay between the graphically different versions of current consoles and PC remains to be seen.
Further content from the leak: Henderson speaks besides crossplay of two new World Cup modes. One for the Women’s World Cup and one for the Men’s World Cup. There are also said to be licensed leagues and clubs in women’s soccer for the first time, so not only the national teams can be selected for women.
Henderson also comments on the technology of the next FIFA installment and speaks of improvements in HyperMotion technology. This should allow the developers to capture the movements of real soccer players in actual games, so that no capture suits are needed anymore to incorporate new animations.
