At the Hi-Rez EXPO 2019, developer Hi-Rez released more images and information about the team shooter Rogue Company. The shooter focuses on crossplay, and at launch, you can play on PC, PS4, Xbox, and Switch.
What is Rogue Company? The shooter features small teams that compete against each other in battles. You control elite units of the Rogue Company, called in when the military fails.
The publisher of the team shooter is also the creator of the MOBA SMITE. It is developed by First Watch Games. In September, it was announced that the shooter was in development. Hi-Rez has now provided further information at their own EXPO.

What is special about the team shooter? Rogue Company will be available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch at launch. You and your friends will not need the same console or both need a PC to engage in battle.
Hi-Rez promises that the game feel will be the same across all platforms.
What game modes are there? Hi-Rez has revealed that there will be a variety of 2v2 and 4v4 modes to choose from. However, the developers have not yet disclosed what the modes will look like.
Hi-Rez has already indicated that there will be only one life per match. You cannot just rush in everywhere; you need to approach tactically, as every decision has a consequence. It was also stated that the shooter will not be a Battle Royale, even though in that genre, you also only get one life per round.
What is known about the characters: You can choose a character with a unique loadout. Each character is different and offers varying play styles. Every character is supposed to come from different parts of the world, bringing unique mechanics as a result.
You will also unlock additional abilities that will change your game feel. Skills and weapons will be earned over time.
What kind of weapons are there? The weapon variety in Rogue Company is classic yet quirky. There are all the “normal” weapon types, such as sniper rifles and shotguns. However, there will also be some that are not quite normal. More information on this has not yet been provided.
What is known about the maps: The developers claim that all maps will significantly differ from each other. There is a scenario in a mansion on a mountain in Italy, as well as a map set in a skyscraper in Dubai. The maps are said to be based on real locations and modeled after them.
Be part of the Alpha: If you are present at the Hi-Rez EXPO, you can get early insights into the game. You can also sign up for an alpha to play the new team shooter for the first time. The alpha is free for everyone.
When will Rogue Company be released? There is no exact release date yet. Hi-Rez revealed that it is expected to be released sometime in 2020. Therefore, you won’t have to wait much longer.
